Paul Stuart is Delighted to Announce the Opening of our New Store in Washington, D.C.
The new store, located at the corner of 9th Street NW and I Street, NW, occupies a prominent location in the heart of the District at the new CityCenterDC project. The nearly 10,000 square foot store was designed by Charles Sparks + Company, which created both Paul Stuart locations in Chicago, and is executed in a clean, contemporary vernacular with an abundance of open space, glass, bronze, marble and zebrano wood.
Paul Stuart has long considered Washington, D.C. a logical location for expansion. According to President and CEO, Michael Ostrove, “D.C. makes perfect sense for us; it is a city that values style, refinement, and sophistication over the constantly shifting vagaries of fashion. We believe that our unique and definitive approach to American menswear—and the fact that we value quality and substance in every aspect of our business—will be particularly well received in the District.”
In expanding to Washington D.C, Paul Stuart is proud to partner with one of the city’s premier institutions, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. The new store will debut with a special installation, A Salute to Smithsonian Jazz, which features a reproduction of LeRoy Neiman’s Big Band from the museum’s jazz collection. This represents the first of many forthcoming installations and exhibits made possible by special arrangement with Paul Stuart and The Smithsonian. Paul Stuart is also proud to support the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra.
CityCenterDC is Downtown's signature neighborhood where an unmatched mix of shops and restaurants, apartments, condominiums, office buildings and common area blend for a vibrant urban experience.
A prominent location in the heart of the District puts CityCenterDC close to the region's best cultural destinations, two of the city's busiest Metro stations and the Convention Center.
CityCenterDC stands to become the unequivocal centerpiece of Downtown DC. Encompassing 10-acres in the heart of the District, CityCenterDC will be a 2.5 million square foot vibrant neighborhood development enlivened with a mix of condominiums, apartments, offices, public spaces, restaurants, and shops.
